Introducing Landik
Be Landik, Craft With Us .
About us
Founded in 2023, our social enterprise was established with a profound respect for Sarawak’s rich cultural heritage and a mission to preserve traditional crafts. Our initial focus was on collaborating with local artisans to offer craft workshops, aiming to celebrate and sustain the valuable skills and knowledge that define our cultural identity.
As we engaged more deeply with the community, we discovered a pressing issue—the increasing number of aging population within the urban community while a lot still trying to make ends meet. This concern highlighted the broader challenge of an aging population and the threat of poverty after retirement. This insight led us to pivot our mission to not only preserve traditional crafts but also empower older adults by providing them with training to create high-quality products and opportunities to teach others.
Though we are still in the early stages and have much room for growth, our dedication remains strong. We are committed to improving the quality of life for the elderly while ensuring that Sarawak’s cultural heritage continues to thrive.
Vision
Our vision is a future where every elder in Sarawak lives with dignity, financial independence, and a sense of purpose. We aspire to be a leading social enterprise that not only uplifts the elderly but also bridges generations through the art of traditional crafts.
Mission
Our mission is to empower the aging population of Sarawak by revitalising traditional crafts and providing sustainable economic opportunities. We aim to create a supportive community where elderly artisans can thrive, share their knowledge, and secure their financial future, all while preserving our rich cultural heritage.
“We envision our enterprise becoming a model for social innovation, where the aging population is not just supported but celebrated for their contributions in our arts and craft industry.“

The Team
We are Mandy, Jasmine and Leeking, the co-founders of Landik. We were course-mate in university and our friendship grew through assignments and working as a team.
The idea of Landik – making crafting accessible to all – come about when we visited a craft market in Kuching, Sarawak (Malaysia) and we realised that people can only go to such event as a buyer and not to experience how to make one, and that is creating a gap where the artisans now only consist of old generations and young people are lack of such skills and knowledge.
Learning that it is not rocket science to learn crafting, all we need is passion and patient, we decided to formed Landik as a platform for such gap. Not only that we developed a craft community, we also develop products through leveraging the crafting skills and knowledge from our experienced artisans, merging with modern knowledge from young generation to create a innovative product – Intergen
We started with one artisan whom we knew through social media (Facebook) to collaborate and teach our pilot workshops participants how to bead. To date, we are working with 4 artisans and our programmed benefited 280 participants.
